I think I would have used the 25-06 first! I agree with the comforting but heavy comments. Once I got a S&W 329pd, the weight factor went away. A 4" 44 that weighs the same as a 3" steel J frame is easy to tote and doesn't get left behind. Of course, it hurts a little when you fire it, but so what.
