I have either a 629 or a 329 99% of the time I am in the woods. The other 1% I have only a long gun. I have been carrying my long barrel 629 since about 1985 and hardly notice it is there. I load some mild loads for the 329 for most of the shooting I do with it. I fired it three times with full loads when I first got it and really didn't want to shoot it again without reduced loads. I do load it all the way up when I might need to use it against something big and hairy with fangs and claws. I load it with several rat shot loads when snakes are likely to be encountered. I also have a rack for a rifle and a shotgun in the cab of my Kubota.
