Hi, I drove over to Fairfield TX and checked it out. I was really hot on the trail of that 99T since he offered it to me for a couple hundred less than what he posted it for sale on the auction site for. I got there and was really let down when I saw it was reblued. I told him it was reblued and I don't think he believed me or didn't want to anyway and it also had a replacement front sight which I also told him about. The only thing original about the gun was the stock and the rear sight. I did buy two great looking guns from him. A pre-war checkered 99EG in just about new condition and an 1899-A that's as nice condition wise as I've ever seen. The 1899-A is actually the first 1899 I've ever seen that was in nice enough shape I wanted to take it home. I need to pick up some 303 ammo now so I can go try it out.
