I have found Barnes 168gr TSX to be the best bullet for my 300 Win Mag. I use 78.0 gr of RL-22, WLRM and seat them at .040 off the lands. Accuracy is sub 3/4" and muzzle velocity is 3140 with a 26' Lilja.........
Interesting. I've got a 26" Lilja too, but evidently I have a tight chamber. 78 grs of RL-22 gave me 3350+ fps with the 168 TSX. It also gave me hard bolt lift, so I backed it down to 74.5 grs which still gives me close to 3200 fps. I've found the same thing with other powders too. I have to back off 3 or 4 grains from most published max loads with everything.
