unless its a TSX type bullet, 85 is too light for 243... I say this having shot the partitions and early 80 grain soft points.... killed everything I shot at, but made big holes and big messes... they were not built for iffy shots.
Thats my take on it. 85 tsx seems to give the best of all the worlds.
