I have had three different older Weaver steel tube scopes on my slug shooting shotgun, two K2.5 60B's and a V4.5. All have performed flawlessly, the K2.5's have post and crosshair reticles and the V4.5 is a duplex. Fine crosshair is more for targetwork than hunting as I could see how it would easily disappear on a dark day in heavy cover.
