I like Leupold scopes! However, make sure that 50mm lense is not going to cause you a problem touching the barrel.

I recently took friends (4 of them) of mine with me to to Cabela's and Bass Pro to look at rifle scopes and guns etc.

I wanted their opinion and the use of their eyes in telling me what was going to be best for my varmint/predator rifles in the way of a higher power variable scope.

Only one person said that the Leupold seemed better to his eyes looking out side in the daylight hours, not just inside the store. So between the Leupold VX-2 and the Busnnell 3200 series tactical scope, I came away with 4 of those Bushnell rifle scopes and mounted one on the model 12 Savage 22-250.

I saved over $270 dollars going the route of the Bushnell verses the Leupold model which was over $650 dollars.

We also compared the Leuopold VX-3 to the Bushnell 4200 series and a Nikon Monarch scope in 3 x 9 power. The Nikon was brighter of the 3 and the other two were a toss up.
