This works perfectly for me as well, though I have no experience with the Echols yet. A Brown KS is about as good as I've ever had for easy and quick shooting with low recoil.

As an aside, a different shaped stock can change the feel of a rifle from a tiger to a kitty overnight. It makes a BIG difference.
