The 270-gr TSX is a wonderful bullet in the 375; I only collected two in Africa, one was stopped by a big zebra and the other in a scenario, almost exactly like you describe, but by a water buck standing about ten yards behind a "pinkie" sized twig (at about 100 yds I didn't see it) which "turned" the bullet. It did stay on track however and the buck died where he stood. It went through the chest side-ways and I found it lying under the hide on the off-side.

Bullets do not buck brush.

The more I look at that bear...it's truly awesome!
