And, Larry/goodiewrench, don't quote me. First, I don't like you. Second, my high post count doesn't mean squat except that I talk a lot in the Savage forum and ESPECIALLY doesn't mean I know anything significant about Mauser 96's. I happen to own one (got that, a sample of one), but I'll be the first to admit that I'm ignorant on anything to do with the quality of their construction or parts.
Unlike you, I know my few areas of expertise versus my huge swaths of ignorance.
