The conversion is a solid type breech plug that fires a 209 shotgun primer. It allows you to use BlackHorn 209 powder which is the latest & greatest BP substitute on the market. But it needs a solid breech plug to fire it. The original A&H breech plug was a split ring sort of affair with spring type wire around it. It is not recommended to use BH209 with that breech plug.
