Good criteria. Don't need a magnum to kill deer. Good range of bullet weights. Lots of good choices out there--my choice is 6.5X55, but I settled for a 6.5-08 in a 22" barrel. Plenty of power for deer. Modest weight and recoil.



I've found the 6.5x55 doesn't do well with light bullets. Do you have anyluck with them?
