I really like my first year Model 100. It's a shooter and it's in great shape. The only 308 that I actually enjoy shooting....as far as 284's, I've heard they don't feed as well. I don't want a rifle if it's not going to function properly so that should detract from the value of the 284 no matter how rare it is..... whistle
