I would have trouble believing the PEPR is heavy as it is solid aluminum. I bought one and then found out is was made in China. Burris is a CO company and thought it might be a local product. I like the height, the price and the utility but with the scope you mentioned, it would seem sacriledge to use a PEPR.
I have an Armalite and it is good but certainly Mil Spec in appearance.
