I wouldn't use a 375 on adult chipmunks. Thinking a 416 Rigby ought to be considered minimum.
Still laugh at the guys that NEED a 338 magnum or better for moose. I'll have to tell my Uncle Mack that the 50 or so he shot with his 30-30 were just in his dreams.
And before the internet 1.5" 100 yard groups were fine for a hunting rifle. Now all the hunting rifles shoot WELL under half inch groups all day long.
