I've got a Savage stagger-feed short-action in 308 Win and was wishing to rebarrel it in 284 Win. Has anyone done this? If yes, what is your COAL? Does it feed and stack well? I measured my magazine well and it measures around 2.85", which seems close for the recommended 2.80" COAL for the 284. I wish to shoot 139gr SSTs or 140gr Accubonds. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
