I've never had a problem seeing store ammo for the .260 nor the 7-08 and I don't recall it being more expensive than .308. I'm not sure since I don't use store bought ammo. But then, if you're shooting store bought ammo and looking to do things on the cheap, get a 30-06 and load up on the specials that Wally has after the season's over.
