I think the church should fund itself entirely on the freewill offerings of the membership. I couldn't care less whether the govenment gives charitable status to a church -- would prefer they didn't as I can see the day coming when government will try to control the pulpits for their charitable status, and that is wrong. Amongst the "religious" I suppose I am a radical.
