I had a Weaver 2.5 on my 12 gauge for over 20 years and it worked great. Now I have a 2-7 Leupold shotgun scope on one of my slug shotguns and a 1-4 Leupold shotgun scope on the other one. Both the Leupolds have the HD reticle which I like better than the thinner reticle of the older Weaver. Shot many deer between 5 yards and 135 yards with these scopes. If buying used, the older steel tube made in America Weavers work well. If new I would buy the Leupold.


2+ on Leuey VX II 2-7 Shotgun/ML scopes. Slug guns will kick the snot out of scopes and these will take the abuse. I like the HD reticule for this purpose too.
