Didn't get to test, one more time, the 250 grain Swift A-Frame from my .338 during the early season, but expect there would have again been no bullet recovery. Instead for a cow, I switched to my favorite, an old Ruger M77 in 7mm Rem Mag using a 175 gr Nosler Partition. As is normal with this load, no bullet recovery on the cow, who dropped in her tracks. Range a little over 100 yards, broadside. I have yet to see what a "used" bullet from that rifle looks like.
