Gunbroker is the best way to get a good idea, but I couldn't locate any in the completed aucions like what you have. Of the "regular" ones without CC, they sold for $775-850, while the ones asking $1199 weren't.
Though it's not apples to apples due to the case color, it would give you a starting point. As for hanging onto it, I'm not the guy to ask as I've got a bunch that have gone up in value, but some that have not. If you like it, hang on to it.
I shoot my Marlin 410 and its a hoot, but it's nothing special either, blue/walnut. I guarantee one thing, pull it out on the skeet field next to a $5000 Perazzi and they giggle.
