I know that TWR and TAK know what they are talking about since I have taken their advice on several items and they were correct. It appears from looking at the LaRue mount that the mount would be kinda weak with the distance from the front ring to the attachment base only being support by the thin piece of metal. I use the Burris because I just can't see spending that much for a mount and I don't jump out of helicopters. The one thing that I don't like about the Burris is that the ring spacing is a little close @ 2.15" between the rings but if your using a compact scope then they are just right. I also have a couple of the Armalite mounts and they are rock solid with the ring spacing at 3.25" but these have the attachment device on the right side and I prefer them to be on the left side.
