Just got home from a 1500 mile Christmas trip with the '08 Ram with the Cummins & 6 spd manual. We got 19 mpg for the whole trip. Also, on the return trip, 450 miles of it was on snow covered roads. It handled beautifully. It's easily the best slick road vehicle I've every owned.


That could be the last of the great trucks. After 2010 every diesel has Urea injection, just another reason to hate our government. I have a 2008 as well, but getting 18 MPG isn't easy. I went to West Yellowstone this Christmas on icy roads, kept the speed under 65 and got 18.4. That is as good as I've gotten in about 58,000 miles...
