A genuine Husky in 8x57! Why would you change it? ..........................................and for a 270! If it was mine I would leave it original, fit a 3x or 4x original steel Weaver in Weaver mounts and hunt it for life. One of the best 98's ever made and such a joy to carry. If your son is younger or smaller, the 8x57 can be downloaded and when you change it back to the original stock, reload to its full potential. Which is a lot more than most reloading manuals. I had a vz33 in 8x57 for many years that I used for most of my hunting, I shot plenty of animals and some were good bull tahr in excess of 300 yards. The Norma PPC projectile worked well for me, I think they now call it the Vulcan.
