Dignified means having some self-respect. Personally I would never go on a long pack trip with a bunch of plastic equipment made for newbies. Have enough respect for the noble art to learn the traditional way of doing things.

Do what you want and how you want. There is more than one way to skin the ol' feline, and folks do what works for them.
And those green colored adjustable pack saddles? They fit the horse better than 'regular' sawbucks and deckers. That's respect for the beast.
