On a rimfire a good fixed power scope between 2x and 4x is awful hard to beat. I have a K-4 Classic on my 10/22 and just bought a K2.5 Classic for my 452. For a .22 mag, I'd look into either:
Weaver Classic K-4
Leupold FX-II 4x33
Can't go wrong with either for what you're using it for.
