Huge fan of Ruger M77's, but agree completely. Don't like the brake - it's a deal killer except maybe in the .375 Ruger. Don't like the stock lines, either - could the butt be any less graceful?

Built my "Guide Gun" with a 22" .338WM barrel and a "boat paddle" stock. No f'ing brake and none needed.
