I shot a mule deer buck with a Sig 226 in a 40S&W a couple of years ago at 40 yards with some hot 155g loads 1300fps and hit him a little too far back. Had to follow up and shoot again but still got him.
I had been shooting the dog out of that gun all during the summer and I was impressed with how accurate and easy that gun was to shoot. I impressed myself.
