Think about this. NY enacted a law a couple of years ago specifically defining pellet guns as firearms.
Further, the governor has placed a gag order on the NY Dept of Environmental Conservation. "It bans DEC staffers from talking directly to members of the media, unless they've given prior approval by the department's public relations officials, whose actions are being monitored closely by the governors staff." This from the Syracuse Post Standard in an article written by David Figura dated 1/27/2013.
We currently have an obnoxiously political environment here in NYS. I am cautiously optimistic that we can keep it from spreading and eventually turn it around.
