My hands are big and I have never had a factory, pre and/or post war, bolt knob ever being an issue?
On today's scopes with the large eyepiece, coupled with a full throw bolt like a ruger, your hand will drag if you have large hands. Not an issue on my tikka with the short bolt throw.
otherwise it is just "look-at-me"
I shoot alone, and don't go to public ranges. There is nobody to look at me.
