FWIW, I ran into the same issue with the sight. I took mine off as I'll just use a scope anyway.
just about all my .22s have glass on them so I wanted to keep irons on this one and force myself to do a little stand up shooting. I hardly ever do that, have an 8 inch steel plate at 50 yards and with the poor adjustment I average 7 out of 10 standing. If I could actually see that darn plate might do better.
Getting old ain't for the weak ;-)
