NC, as such, is not but Democrats are still dominate in a lot of places. Dem politicians everywhere present themselves as champions of the "little man" but anyone wanting to see if their words are true need only look at the way they weld power for the benefit of their elitist controllers (i.e., the wealthy). And that applies where ever they have effective control, not just NC - witness Chicago, Baltimore, Atlanta, Raleigh, Detroit, DC, the left coast, etc.
