As to your question, 243 vs. the Bob. I will ask you, do you reload? Do you like to step away from the 'run-of-the-mill'?
If you answer Yes to both....go with the 257 Bob. If you don't hand-load ammo and if you want to always find a box of ammo on the shelf at Wal-Mart....stick with the 243.
