Used the 87gr Sierras for many years in my first 25-06 (for woodchucks), before going to the then-new 100gr Btips for both 'chucks and deer. I recall the 87gr Sierras as being very accurate back in the late 70s when I used them.

A buddy and I often tried to provoke each other into trying the 87gr load on deer in our M700s, but neither of us ever tumbled on it. Curious if anyone here has ever used it out of a 25-06 for deer, figure some probably have? Do know a few guys that have liked them with a 250 Savage in their M99s.

Been meaning to build/buy a 257 for the past 30 years and still don't have one, although I've taken a few whacks at M722s at auctions over the years. Someone always showed up with more money than I had at the time.

If three or more people think you're a dimwit, chances are at least one of them is right.
