I know this won't be a popular suggestion with many, but I'd give a Browning rifle (A-bolt or X-bolt) a close look. They have good ergonomics and an excellent reputation for accuracy. Some tout problems (very few of which are first-hand, by the way), but I've hunted an A-bolt for over a decade without a single issue.
