Simple recipe and it will get rid of those extras that you have that fall off the vine or hang on a little to late in the year. Here is the recipe.

2 large green tomatoes 2 eggs (separated) milk to cover 1 cup flour 2 teaspoon baking powder half teaspoon of salt 1 teaspoon sugar 2/3 cup milk pich of ground mace veggie oil(deep frying depth)

Core the tomatoes and slice them. COver them with milk. It takes the acid out of them. Sift together your flour baking powder and salt. Stir in the egg yolks, mace, sugar and milk. Beat the egg whites until they stiffen then fold them into the batter. Heat the oil to about 370 degrees. Dip the tomatoes in the batter and fry until golden brown. (about 5 minutes) Drain them on a paper towell and serve hot.

These things are great. The recipe also works with apples and you can skip the milk bath as they have no acid taste to them.

Enjoy and thank me later.
