.....and another thought.

I carried it a lot this past weekend in the snow sans sling. I wanted it in my hands, not on my shoulder. The bottom of the stock feels round in my hand and is a joy to tote.

Battue asked a question earlier in the thread about offhand pointing and stability. I've compared the Forbes to the Montana....and the Forbes wins. I honestly think that the balance on the Forbes is better too.

I wanted to wait a bit before I passed judgement. I'm so use to the Montana, my opinion could have been biased. My feel meter is tilting to the Forbes...


I enjoy handguns and I really like shotguns,...but I love rifles!
