I have a Stainless Classic '06 with the BOSS. I can't tell you what the "real world velocities" are, I think that would be dependent on the load. The 2 deer that were taken with it using Federal High Energy loads reacted as expected when hit.....they died quickly. I bought the rifle for my father to use on a mule deer hunt when he was in his mid eighties and he did appreciate the brake. I will echo the other posters and say it is the most consistently accurate rifle I own.
