And then the state/DNR wonders about causes of hunting declining? Some might say, well just get permission to hunt private land. But try to find/contact the owner of much of this land when the owner doesn't live there. Or if you can contact the owner, get the usual explanation that the land is already hunted by a bow hunter who wants it all for himself. I like to hunt squirrels, and I also bow hunted for years, and most days, a bow hunter is likely to benefit from someone moving deer around.

The legislature ought to revert back to what worked for the most hunters.
