My partner hit him twice with 12 ga. 3" #4 buck, he stumbled once and kept going. Last we saw of him, he was about 800 yds. out and still running hard. Main thing is just try to set up right and get out there and do it, like they say, "practice makes perfect". I don't think there's any one perfect way to do it.
