The B78 or 1885 Brownings seem to shoot very well out of the box. Some of the Number 1's are great, some not so good. Only have experience with red pads on the Number 1's.

The B78's can be dangerous to let the hammer down when loaded. The 1885 is better. The Number 1's are safer in that regard.

Either is worth owning but if I had to choose it would be the 1885, just for its accuracy and its appearance. I like the hammer.
