That is exactly the same tire and size we are putting on our 09 F150 very soon.
That particular size is only available in a 10 ply IIRC. A lot of guys will wrinkle their nose at a 10 ply on a half ton. My step dad sells and mounts a lot of tires, here's his take. He says the tread depth is deeper on the 10 ply, it's obviously a tougher tire, and nobody says you HAVE to run 80 psi in the damn things.
I've researched this topic a bit, and I am convinced this is the tire for our half ton, stock size for us if 275/65-18. Going to the 70 series makes the tire a bit taller without adding width, which is exactly what I'm after.
You do realize that they're not 10 ply don't you?
