DD, I believe that you can make a more accurate bullet by casting than you can with a hammer swage die.
I respectfully disagree in context of intended application. I quest for a new bullet for a rather ancient .50 caliber bullet gun.
I have watched a number of very capable shooters go both ways with these relics and ultimately the winners use swagged bullets, usually cast as a slug then swagged in hammer dies. Some are Chase patched and others like my own are strip patched.
