Wish I'd seen this post back in 1975 before I tore a dime size piece of skin off my right thumb with a pair of sticky rubber grips on a Super Blackhawk. Small Pachmayr Presentation grips on S&W heavy recoil N frames work for me. I use the nice coke bottle grips on my 29-10 with light loads, scurry back to Pachmyers before hunting season. My small grip Ruger 3 screw .41 Magnum 6 1/2" is about as much as I can stand with heavy loads without getting a Bisley model out to play with.
