Ohio went further than just pistol cartridges. They actually have a list of approved cartridges including 444, 45-70, 45-90,45-100,50-100 and many more. Obviously, the lawmakers don't know schitt about guns. MI approved straight wall cartridges with a case length of 1.9" or shorter.
It's 1.8"....there is a DNR officer that lives down the road from me he showed me his case length gauge that he will be using in the field
