It really depends how serious the shotgunning we're talking about. If you want him to go to the Olympics, then he will need to learn to shoot with his left, because the difference in shooters are THAT small.
But if we're talking hunting, I think its negligible and want to second that of the posters above who think he should just practice right handed.
