I started serious archery hunting in '84, used wasps, thunderheads, never liked muzzy for the same reason. Then went mechanical in the 90s when the bows got faster but the old heads couldn't handle the new speed.

I think it was '06, I had been hearing about slick tricks, I made my first internet purchase ever straight from the maker, ST magnum 100. Holy Moly! what a difference, in tune'ability and lethality.

Ever since then I've shot Goldtip XTs, blazer vanes I fletch myself and slick tricks. I know there's other combos, I've used a bunch in my past... but I can get that combo shooting in any bow I've worked with so far, mine or someone else's. I have two different weighted shafts and two different weight heads, mix and match till the spine is right.

I shot my lion with a slick trick, it skipped so far I never found it.
