here is an example of a .22 being 'enough gun'. Ya gotta know WHERE to do the deed, not just the ol' point-and-shoot-and-assume....

that, my friend, is a 1000 lb steer with a WHOLE lot thicker skull/hide than a measly 30 lb racctoon, and a whole lot farther away than a cage.....

on a caged coon, the short to the lungs leaves nothing on the table, as concerned to missing the intended spot, blood mess, or damage to the hide. Most times they don't even flinch when hit, and just lay down and go nighty-night......
