Last month I asked for advice on how to "de-gloss" a shiney stock. I received A lot of good ideas and good advice, but none gave me the look that I was going for.
Then today on a whim, I found a household product that I thought I would give a try.
The product is Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. Doesn't look like much, just a piece of soft white foam. I followed the instructions which are pretty simple, wet the eraser and rub on surface.
Didn't look like it was doing much, until I wiped away the water on the surface of the stock.
I could not believe my eyes, it literally wiped the gloss right off of my stock.
I was left with a beautiful satiny, almost matte finish! No scratches, no clouding, just a very warm looking piece of wood
This eraser really is magic, thank you Mr. Clean!

I won't drink the swirled Kool-Aid
.....well, maybe, if it looks like wood
