That would be total waste of a fox pelt. Shoot something smaller or leave 'em for others to hunt.

If a .270 is your only rifle then look at the Barnes 6.8 or .277 TTSX in 95-110gr and keep the velocity slowed down a little. You'll get two holes in your pelts but that's better than turning a beautiful pelt into sloppy scrap.
